Invaisive testing is required if a report recommends one or you suspect moisture ingress.

Invasive testing causes minimal damage

  • A non invasive reading in the corner of a bedroom is elevated. An elevated reading is any value ove 60

    Elevated reading

When the inspector comes across an area producing elevated readings he’1l record them and likely recommend invasive testing.

  • Our invasive testing involves 3 holes for moisture content through the skirting board and humidity through the wall lining

    Moisture content & Humidity

Invasive testing involves drilling 2 X 6mm holes drilled through the skirting board and 1 X 10mm through the wall lining.

From the skirting board holes moisture content, timber hardness, and colour shavings are recorded.

  • A endoscope is inserted through the humidity hole and images of framing are recorded

    In wall imagery

Through the 10mm hole humidity levels are measured and imagery of the frame recorded. Holes are then filled but not sanded or painted.
